The NEWAY ADZ Series Suspension introduces new engineering advances designed to improve durability and performance in the toughest conditions and challenges on the road.
The ADZ Series offers lower installed weight, reduced over 250 lbs. per axle when compared to our previous model in a typical OEM installation, including cross member. The significant weight savings provide an opportunity to increase payload and improve operating efficiency.
The ADZ Series improves stability and handling characteristics with superior linear roll-rate control technology, provided by the design of its advanced Integral Lower Module. We have increased roll stability by 27% as compared to our AD design. The ADZ Series also carries on the heritage of the industry's toughest air-ride suspension by taking durability to another level. The ADZ Series outperforms previous design by 54% while further widening the gap on competitive models.
In the ADZ, SAF-HOLLAND has created one of the lightest, toughest, and most stable off-road drive axle air-ride suspensions. The engineering in the NEWAY ADZ Series allows it to excel in severe-duty applications such as: oilfield service, heavy haul, logging, mine and quarry, heavy construction, and military applications.
The integrated one-piece design of the lower module provides lower weight, and most importantly, increased roll stability. The integrated lower module permits optimized disc and drum brake compatibility by creating clearance for 3636 spring brake chambers with no special rods or components required.
The ADZ's simplified, lighter weight V-Rod design replaces the traditional track bar and torque rod and provides enhanced durability and reliability. The V-Rod is centrally mounted between the axle and the cross member and designed to distribute load forces equally through the crossmember/frame rails and the axle bracket.
Reduces driveline noise and vibration by maintaining a more constant driveline working angle during high torque axle articulation. The parallelogram design also minimizes pinion angle change caused by high torque conditions that exceed maximum recommended driveline working angles, including acceleration with heavy loads or climbing steep grades. The ADZ parallelogram design also provides improved braking response.
